Mad, Beautiful Ideas
Lately....

Well, it's been quite some time since I posted here, so I guess it's about time to put something up again.

I've been working for the past two months doing low-level accounting for Cuda-Buffalo Apparel in Spokane, WA. Buffalo Shirts and Cuda Apparel merged at the beginning of the year, and as far as I can tell, they didn't have a plan for that at all. It's been an interesting ride, especially since I am now I am one of the people who has been with Accounting the longest. Still, the work is easy, and I can take the time to learn what is needed in the realm of business software that I can provide.

I haven't really began pushing my Consulting side enough. I want to get into the business of custom software, system automation, and Asterisk PBX installation and maintenance, but as I said, it hasn't really done much yet. I did write some code to automate the accounting backups at Cuda, and have discussed (briefly) the sale of that software with Cuda-Buffalo, but as the GM is out of town, nothing has come of it just yet.

I'm still looking for work in Software Engineering, and getting slightly discouraged with my failure to find anything yet, so I guess I'll be broadening my search somewhat. And it looks like I'm going to try to go to Bozeman over Columbus Day weekend to see the Girl and the Guys. Not too much else going on right now.
